高考英语口试在规定的PC实验室里举行。考生进入考场就位后，戴上有话筒的耳机，用键盘输入“高考报名号”，PC软件系统会检测输入是否正确。然后根据屏幕上的指令，用鼠标点击，对耳机与话筒进行测试。如果一切正常，口试正式最初。从此时起，考生无须再运用键盘与鼠标，只要眼看屏幕、耳听试题、嘴对话筒答题就行了。每场口试的正式考试时间约10分钟，其中包括考生对有些试题的预备时间。口试时，考生可以同时从屏幕上看见、从耳机里听见试题，这样可以减少“听”对口试的干扰，使口试更好地达到测试口头达能力的目标。口试结束后，考点管理员将存于硬盘中的考生答题录音集中到考点的服务器中，并定期将它们刻录到光盘上以备评分。整个考试过程，从报名号输入、试音、试题的发放、考生答题录音和录音的收集都由考点管理员通过考点管理服务器统一进行管理。

二、评分方式?

口试评分也是在PC实验室进行。口试结束后，各考点管理服务器定期把收集好的考生答题语音文件刻录到光盘上。这些光盘被集中到4个评分点
