From

the

dawn

of

photography

in

19th

century

Britain,

life

was

captured

on

film

by

capturing

moments

that

would

become

known

as

“snapshots.”

It

was

not

until

the

advent

of

the

camera

that

we

could

capture

those

exact

same

moments

through

digital

images.

But

why

did

we

choose

to

record

our

past?

The

answer

lies

in

the

fact

that

we

live

in

a

world

where

technology

has

enabled

us

to

access

information

on

any

given

moment,

anytime,

anywhere.

To

understand

what

life

was

like

during

certain

historical

periods,

I

would

like

to

share

some

fascinating

photos

taken

from

various

locations

around

the

globe.

These

photographs

show

the

daily

routines

of

people

living

through

different

eras.
